This vintage designer Henri Bendel black crepe sequin evening gown dates from the 1940s. It is made of a heavy quality black silk crepe fabric with sheer net sleeves and hand sewn colorful iridescent sequins. This fabulous floor length long elegant evening gown has a high neck collar, with decorative sequin button trim down the front, long full billowing bishop style sleeves, a gathered fitted waist and pleated fishtail flared front and back bottom skirt. There is a side zipper closure and a "Henri Bendel New York" designer label sewn inside. He produced high quality custom made clothing and was also a major importer of French designs. The dress measures 64 inches long, with 36 inch hips, waist, bust, a 14 inch back and 25 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is truly a stunning sophisticated quality made designer gown.
