This antique Victorian era paisley wool bodice and skirt fabric panel dates from 1890. It is made of a fine wool fabric, with a brown floral print striped pattern background and colorful paisley print design done in natural dyes. Included is a bodice and front skirt panel fabric. This beautiful bodice has a gathered front drape, rounded scoop neckline, full mutton style sleeves with tapered cuffs, a fitted back, attached black velvet sash belt and hooks & eyes for closure down the front. It is fully lined inside. The bodice measures 19 inches long, with a 22 inch waist, 32 inch bust and 11 inch back. There is a front skirt panel fabric which measures 39 inches long, 74 inches wide at the bottom and 26 inches wide at the top. They are in fair as-is condition and would be great for study, pattern or to be restored. There are several small moth nip holes on the bodice and skirt panel (see close-up). |
