This antique George Washington child's colonial costume tricorn hat dates from 1915. It is made of a royal blue polished cotton fabric, with gold metallic woven ribbon trim. This charming young boy children's colonial costume 4 piece outfit includes a waistcoat vest, with gold trim edging, faux flap front pockets and gold brass buttons down the front for closure. The vest measures 14 inches long, with a 26 inch chest. There is a matching coat jacket, closely cut, knee length, with a split back for easy movement, white lace cuffs, gold trim edging, decorative gold brass buttons and faux flap front pockets. The coat measures 23 inches long, with a 20 inch waist and 26 inch chest. There are a pair of breeches, knickers, knickerbockers knee length pants, with gold brass button closures on the cuffs and a back, front flap panel opening along the top missing closures. The pants measure 20 inches long, with a 11 inch inseam, 26 inch hips and 24 inch waist. Also including is a matching three cornered tricorn hat which measures 21 inches inside crown circumference. The outfit is in good wearable condition, with only a few small faint age spot stains on the pants and some fraying of the gold ribbon trim on the hat and coat.
