This amazing antique floral roses silk embroidered Canton piano shawl dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk fabric background with colorful silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There is a lush floral foliage vine leaf design, with a large pink embroidered rose in each corner. There is a fabulous hand knotted macramé black silk fringe which measures 22 inches long surrounding the entire shawl with rounded corners. The shawls fabric square measures 65 by 65 inches. This quality made Manton Canton Chinese Cantonese style Spanish Flamenco shawl is quite heavy weighing over 4 pounds. It is in excellent wearable condition, with only a small hole in one corner (see close-up). This is truly an outstanding wonderful piece of wearable textile art.
