This vintage Dynasty Chinese silk embroidered dragon jacket dates from the 1960s. It is made of a black silk satin fabric background, with red, white and blue silk raised padded satin stitch embroidery work. There are embroidered dragon roundel medallions and flowers. Dragons are symbols of the natural world, adaptability and transformation. This short jacket style robe has a mandarin collar neckline, with red trim edging and silk knotted button loop toggles for closure down the front. It is fully lined in black silk, with a "Dynasty Made in Hong Kong, B.C.C." label and size Small tag sewn inside. The jacket measures 28 inches long, with a inch waist and bust.
