This vintage Hawaiian red rayon hula surfer sarong halter dress dates from the 1950s. It is handmade of a red rayon silkie fabric, with a colorful tropical great graphic Hawaiian print. There are green bananas leaf, black, white waves of water and blue figural native people riding a surf board, hula girls and parrots. This sensational summer sarong beach cover-up dress has an adjustable two way style which can be worn as a halter top or strapless, with adjustable tie straps on the back. It has perhaps been remade and includes a loose extra strap. The dress measures 37 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 28 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a tiny pin hole in the skirt. This is a wonderful piece of collectable retro Hawaiiana vintage textile. $100 |
