This amazing Art Deco antique gold lamé red dot evening coat jacket dates from the 1930s. It is made of a gold, red and black silk lamé fabric with an abstract floral polka dot pattern design. This exquisite elegant evening coat jacket is loose fitting with a long full boxy style, shoulder padding, long full sleeves with draping gathers and replaced gold plastic colored rhinestone buttons for closure on the front. It is fully lined with a bright radiant red silk satin fabric lining and "R.H. Stearns Co. Boston" store label sewn inside. The coat measures 36 inches long, with 40 inch hips, waist, a 38 inch bust, 16 inch back and 20 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent wearable condition, with only a small faint age spot stain on the elbow (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art. |
