This antique Victorian era brown cotton blue quilted velvet petticoat skirt dates from the 1880s. It is hand stitched, made of a dark chocolate brown color cotton fabric, with a decorative blue quilted stitching and midnight blue velvet applique's done in an argyle diamond pattern along the bottom. This wonderful winter petticoat has a full skirt, is fully lined with a dark brown polished cotton fabric for warmth and has an adjustable drawstring tie back closure. The petticoat measures 36 inches long, with a 34 inch waist. It is in excellent wearable condition, with only some slight wear fraying along the inside bottom hemline (see close-up).
