This Edwardian Titanic era pink silk lace train skirt gown dress dates from 1912. It is made of a pink pastel color silk fabric, with a sheer ecru lace top covered with pastel blue and pink sheer silk chiffon fabric pleated overlay and rosette trim. There is a cream color cluny bobbin lace, with a floral petal pattern design draping across the side shoulder and down the back skirt train. This pretty pink dress ball gown has a layered top, V front neckline, short sleeves, high empire waist, a draping front skirt with chiffon panel insert and long floor length back train skirt. It is lined in silk, with stays boning sewn inside the bodice and hook & eye closures down the back. The dress measures 63 inches long, 73 inches long in the back, with 36 inch hips, a 26 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 15 inch back. It is in good wearable condition, with two tiny pin holes in the skirt, some faint water spotting and some fraying of the inside silk lining. This is truly a wonderful charming piece of Titanic textile art. |
