This antique Victorian Civil War era red silk swiss waist corset corselet bodice dates from 1865 It is made of a dark red crimson color silk satin fabric, with stays boning sewn inside the linen lining on both the front and back. This lovely lingerie fitted corset swiss waist bodice has knotted accent pleated shoulder straps to support the breasts and back, a squared neckline, bottom waist point and eyelet holes down the front for lacing closure. The corset measures 18 inches long, with a 24 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in excellent clean wearable condition and looks to have never been worn. The original corset strings lacing is missing. This a wonderful piece of wearable Victoriana and a rare find.
