Orange Poppy Chiffon Bias Cut Dress Feather Jacket. |
This vintage orange poppy chiffon bias cut dress feather jacket dates from the 1930s. It is made of a bright orange and white floral poppy print sheer silk chiffon fabric, with a white fluffy ostrich feather boa trim sewn around the jacket collar. This elegant evening ensemble includes a beautiful bias cut dress floor length, sleeveless, backless gown, with plunging V necklines, side snap closures and a matching fabric belt with rhinestone clasp. The dress measures 58 inches long, with a 28 inch waist and 36 inch bust. There is a matching short cropped jacket, with a feather lapel collar, long sleeves and a tie waist closure. The jacket measures 17 inches long, with 18 inch long sleeves and a 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with a small mend on the V back, under the arms has been reinforced patched with matching fabric, a tiny hole on the top and back skirt (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable art.
