This vintage Art Deco burgundy red silk silver lamé floral flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a purplish burgundy wine red color silk fabric, with silver metallic lamé threads woven into the fabric in an embossed brocaded floral roses leaf pattern design which is reversed on the other side. There are iridescent magenta pink sequined trim sewn around the neckline. This fabulous flapper dress has a loose fitting straight shift style, with low scoop rounded necklines and is sleeveless. The dress is a large size measuring 50 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 38 inch waist and bust. There is a 6 inch bottom hem sewn up underneath. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few tiny pin holes. |
