This vintage Art Deco black silk gold lamé blue tulle floral flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a antique black silk fabric, with gold metallic lamé threads woven into the fabric in an embossed brocaded floral roses leaf pattern design which is reversed on the other side in blue. The dress has been altered, with added blue tulle net trim for shoulder strap cap sleeves, a back bow ribbon sash and back zipper closure giving it a more 1960s style. This fabulous flapper cocktail dress has a loose fitting straight shift style, with a squared front neckline, exposed reversed blue fabric accents, with folded pinched gathering on the back and has been relined in a black rayon slip with inside zipper back. This retro divine dress was used as a movie costume and has a vintage older "20th Century Fox" label sewn inside. The dress is a large size measuring 39 inches long, with 36 inch hips, a 32 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a small fray on the blue silk trim bust. $150 |
