This vintage yellow batiste white embroidered drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is hand made of a pale pastel yellow sheer fine cotton batiste fabric, with decorative white stitching hand embroidery, French knots and drawn cut work squares down the front. This sunny summertime dress has a loose fitting straight shift style, short sleeves, rolled cuffs, a squared scoop front neckline, shoulder snap closures and a drop waist with side gathering. There is a "Hand Made" label sewn inside. The dress is a large size measuring 50 inches long, with 46 inch hips, waist, bust and 15 inch back. It is in good clean wearable condition, with only a few frayed loose stitches on the drawn work square details.
