This antique Victorian era white batiste lace train wedding petticoat skirt dates from the 1880s. It is made of a sheer fine white cotton batiste fabric, with Ayrshire whitework, raised padded satin stitch embroidery eyelet drawn thread cutwork and pleating around the bottom hemline. There is valenciennes French bobbin lace trim inserts encircling it. This beautiful bridal wedding petticoat has a long layered ruffle back train skirt, with hook & eye closure on back. The petticoat measures 40 inches long in the front, 47 inches long in the back, with a 24 inch. It is in excellent clean wearable condition. This is a wonderful piece of wearable antique bridal Victoriana lace art.
