This Regency reproduction wool paisley robe coat and silk dress is inspired from the classically influenced 1820s fashions. It has been beautifully constructed, tailored and custom made by a talented seamstress creating a one of a kind creation. There is a burgundy gray wool woven paisley pattern fabric overdress robe coat, with gathered smocking details along the shoulders, pleated gathers on the back, with silk trim embellishments, burgundy sheer silk chiffon ruffled flowing sleeves with draping beaded trim accents, a slight back skirt train and open front with no closure. The overdress robe measures 53 inches long, with 46 inch hips, waist and bust. There is an iridescent greenish gray raw silk fabric dress worn underneath, with matching color silk trim edging. The dress is loose fitting, with a ruffled stand up collar, squared scoop neckline and long tapered sleeve which come to a point at the cuff. There are authentic Victorian era steel cut buttons sewn down the front opening and on the sleeve cuffs. The underdress measures 52 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 32 inch waist, 36 inch bust, 14 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent clean wearable condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art.
