This Edwardian era vintage P.F. Bonney's Sons ecru wool velvet ribbon trim opera coat jacket dates from 1910. It is made of a French beige ecru color fine soft wool fabric, with ecru beige velvet trim around the collar, cuffs, side sleeve inserts, button trim accents and heart shaped silk embroidered trim edging. There is cream silk ribbed ribbon trim on the top and down the front opening. This opulent opera coat jacket is a long floor length, loose fitting, with gathered shoulders, long full sleeves, decorative trimmed cuffs and silk crochet button closures down the front. It is fully lined in a beige silk satin fabric, with a "P.F. Bonney's Sons Boston, Mass." label sewn inside. The coat measures 48 inches long, with 48 inch hips, waist, a 44 inch bust, 14 inch back and 26 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with several tiny moth hole nip holes and a small faint stain on the bottom front. This is a wonderful piece of wearable antique textile art. $250 |
