This Edwardian era vintage Annie Low Boston ecru wool embroidered eyelet double breasted coat jacket dates from 1910. It is made of a French beige ecru color fine soft wool fabric, with ecru beige raised soutache embroidered eyelet cut work floral designs and scalloped edging. This beautiful double breasted coat jacket is mid length, loose fitting, with a large shawl collar, high band neckline collar, long full sleeves, with embroidered rolled cuffs and white glass, silver painted Art Nouveau floral button closures down the front. It is fully lined in a brown silk satin fabric, with a "Annie T. Low Boston, Mass." label sewn inside. The coat measures 38 inches long, with 48 inch hips, a 45 inch waist, 44 inch bust, 15 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with a few tiny moth hole nip holes and a a few small faint stains on the front. There is a small rip on the shoulder collar (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable antique textile art! |
