This vintage Art Deco gold black velvet white painted evening cocoon opera coat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk velvet fabric, with a hand painted contrasting white abstract swirling design pattern stenciled onto the fabric. This exquisite evening opera coat has a long loose fitting cocoon wrap style, with a three button closure, fold over collar and front pocket. It is fully lined in a striped black silk fabric lining inside. The coat measures 41 inches long, with 50 inch hips, waist, bust, 21 inch long sleeves and a 16 inch back. It is in excellent wearable condition and is truly a wonderful and unique piece of Art Deco painted wearable art!
