This vintage purple violet flower posy print rayon crepe belted dress dates from 1945. It is made of a pinkish white gray rayon silk crepe fabric, with a purple violet flower posy print pattern nosegay bouquet design. This fabulous floral print dress has high rounded neckline, long full sleeves, fitted cuffs, a high fitted waist, matching fabric tie sash belt, with hook and eye closures on the back. The dress measures 47 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 26 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 15 inch back and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent wearable condition. There is an attached note of provenance stating it was worn June 1945 for high school graduation and the material was purchased at Coulters Department Store on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.
