This vintage Art Deco blue silk chiffon beaded flower flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a dark midnight navy blue color sheer silk chiffon fabric, with contrasting black jet hand bead work done in an Art Deco abstract flower, vine leaf pattern design. This fabulous flapper dress is loose fitting, with a drop waist, belted tie sash, squared front neckline, shoulder pleating, long kimono sleeves with flared bell shaped cuffs and beaded skirt panels. It is fully lined, with a lace trim top, silk slip dress sewn inside underneath and snap closures inside. The dress measures 45 inches long, with 42 inch hips, waist, bust, a 15 inch back and 27 inch long sleeves. It is in as-is fair condition, with some loose missing beading and fraying along the side neckline (see close-up). There is a frayed hole in the shoulder and back sleeve. This is a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco beaded textile art!
