This Edwardian era antique Canton shawl white silk embroidered lace wedding bodice blouse dates from 1905. It is made of an off white ivory color fine silk fabric, with raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work, lace and silk ribbon trim inserts. This beautiful bridal bodice blouse top was custom made and created from an antique Manton Canton Chinese Cantonese style piano shawl, with a floral pattern design. The bodice has a fitted high collar lace neckline, with embroidered epaulet shoulder trim accents, long layered sleeves, with ribbon, lace ruffle trim cuffs, a fitted waist with cream silk ribbon belted cummerbund sash and tiny etched pearl button closures down the back. It is fully lined, with boning stays sewn inside and expertly made with wonderful workmanship and details. The blouse measures 17 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 36 inch bust, 15 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent wearable condition, with only a few tiny faint age spots on the front. This is truly an extraordinary piece of wearable wedding bridal antique lace art!
