This vintage black silk taffeta net red poppy flower circle skirt dress dates from the 1950s. It is made of a black silk taffeta fabric top, with rickrack trim sewn around the neckline and a sheer black net, silk applique trim striped skirt. There are large red silk poppy flowers sewn across the front top. This retro party dress has a fitted bodice, with shoulder straps, a plunging V neckline, full circle skirt and side zipper closure. The skirt is unlined and sheer and would need a crinoline petticoat slip underneath. The dress measures 39 inches long, with a 24 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few tiny pin holes in the net skirt (see close-up). $100 |
