This vintage purple gold lamé silk brocade boho kaftan robe dates from the 1960s. It is made of a purple and gold metallic lamé silk brocade fabric, with a decorative ethnic floral, leaf, tear drop medallion, paisley pattern design. This exquisite ethnic hippie chic, bohemian, loose fitting kaftan style robe coat is a long floor length, with long wide full sleeves, gold and purple silk braided trim edging and gold metallic knotted buttons with loop closures all the way down the front. It is fully lined in a bright golden yellow silk nylon fabric and is quite heavy weighing over 5 pounds. The kaftan is a large size, measuring 60 inches long, with 60 inch hips, waist, bust and a 20 inch back. It is in good wearable condition, with some fading discoloration of the purple fabric. This is a wonderful piece of wearable Turkish Ottoman textile art!
