1920s Vintage White Batiste Floral Smocking Embroidered Boho Peasant Dress
This vintage white batiste floral smocking embroidered boho peasant dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer white cotton batiste fabric, with white needlework floral raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work, decorative stitched smocking, drawn cut work and French knots. This pretty peasant style bohemian Hungarian Czech folk dress has a V front neckline, shoulder smocking, short flared cap sleeves and a fitted smocked waistband. The dress measures 46 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 32 inch waist and 40 inch bust. It is in good clean wearable condition, with only a few tiny pin holes on the top and a small old woven mend on the front skirt. This is a wonderful piece of wearable bohemian peasant textile folk art!
