Vintage Silk Lace Chain Stitch Embroidery Negligee Peignoir Robe Dressing Gown
This vintage silk chiffon lace chain stitch embroidery negligee peignoir robe dressing gown dates from the 1930s. It is hand stitched, made of an off white cream color sheer silk chiffon fabric, with pastel chain stitch embroidery work flowers, drawn cut work and off white ecru cream color sheer bretonne needle lace trim inserts, with couched outline details done in a floral vine leaf pattern design. This lovely lingerie negligee peignoir robe dressing gown is a long floor length, with an open front, rhinestone buckle clasp closures, a navy blue silk ribbon belted sash and short cap flared sleeves. The robe measures 54 inches long, with 36 inch hips, a 28 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few tiny pin holes in the lace shoulders and some slight faint underarm discoloration. There are a few missing rhinestones on the clasp closure.
