This antique Edwardian era black silk taffeta soutache trim walking suit jacket dates from 1910. It is made of a black silk taffeta fabric, with raised rope black soutache work trim detail accents. This wonderful walking suit jacket, light weight over coat is loose fitting, a long mid length, with gathered shoulders, long full sleeves, a V front neckline and button closures. The jacket measures 40 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 34 inch waist, 38 inch bust, 15 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with only some slight wear and fraying along the sleeve cuffs. There is a small patched repair on the back which has been covered with a black lace applique (see close-up).
