This vintage Czech Bohemian kroje folk costume silk embroidered apron skirt panel dates from the late 19th century. It is hand stitched, made of an off white silk fabric, with colorful silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work, silver and silver metallic thread outlines the floral pattern design. There are hand sewn silver sequin accents and silver metallic lace trim edging. It is backed and lined in linen. This women's fabulous folk kroje Bohemian Czech peasant costume apron skirt has a split two panel style attached to a linen waistband with ties for securing around the waist. This is a museum deaccession, with a "Czech" tag sewn on the back (see close-up). The apron measures 27 inches long and each panel is 6 inches wide. It is in excellent wearable condition and is truly a rare and wonderful piece of wearable Bohemia Czech textile folk art!
