This vintage black silk chiffon pastel yarn embroidered floral fringe shawl cape dates from the 1930s. It is made of a sheer black silk chiffon fabric, with pastel wool yarn hand embroidery work done in a decorative floral design, with a variety of beautiful colorful knit flowers. This stunning shawl style short cape capelet wrap has hand knotted black silk fringe trim edging around the collar, front opening and bottom. The cape measures 15 inches wide, with a 26 inch neckline and is 92 inches in circumference. It is in good wearable condition, with only a small old woven mend on the shoulder (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable art!
