This Edwardian era antique white battenburg tape lace sheer blouse jacket top dates from 1910. It is hand made of an off white cream color filmy linen stitch, fine tape lace, with button hole stitching, connecting brides and bars done in a scrolling, spiraling, floral vine leaf pattern design, with french knot centers. This lovely lace sheer shirt blouse coat jacket has a short cropped style, long fitted sleeves, with shoulder flounce cap sleeve trim accents and open front with no closure. It is sheer and unlined. The jacket measures 19 inches long, with a 34 inch waist, bust and a 15 inch back. It is in good wearable condition, with only a small repair on the sleeve cuff. It is a wonderful piece of wearable textile lace art!
