1960s Vintage William Travilla Green & White Striped Linen Mod Miniskirt Dress
This vintage Travilla green and white striped linen mod miniskirt dress dates from the 1960s. It is made of a bright chartreuse green color and a off white cream color linen fabric done in a beautifully constructed pieced striped design. This marvelous mod miniskirt dress is sleeveless, with hooks & eyes on the shoulder and a side zipper closure. It is fully lined, with a "Travilla" designer label. William Travilla begun his fashion designing career as a costume designer. He is most remembered for the designs he did for Marilyn Monroe, including the “subway grate” dress from The Seven Year Itch. The dress measures 36 inches long, with 36 inch hips, a 26 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a small open seam on the front waist area. This it truly a wonderful quality made dress!
