Unworn 1950s Vintage Tern Floating Sportswear Pinup Green White Striped Swimsuit
This unworn vintage Tern Floating Sportswear pinup green and white striped swimsuit dates from the 1950s. It is made of a blue green color and white striped cotton fabric. This retro pinup style ladies one piece bathing outfit has a halter top adjustable necktie strap, bow tie trim front top, gathering along the sides, elastic ruche gathered smocking on the back and a skirt skort panty bottom. It is fully lined in white cotton, with a unique flotation device sewn inside of 3 by 1 inch buoyant squares on both the front and back creating a stiff fitted design. There is a "Tern Floating Sportswear St. Lin, Que. Canada, USA Patent Pending" label size M sewn inside. The swimsuit measures 25 inches long, with 32 inch hips, a 26 inch waist and 32 inch bust. It is in unworn excellent clean wearable condition. This unique experimental floating bathing suit style lifejacket is truly a rare find!
