Vintage 1920s Black Silk Gold Metallic Lamé Embroidered Lace Drop Waist Dress
This vintage Art Deco black silk gold metallic lamé embroidered lace drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk taffeta fabric, with gold metallic lamé thread raised couching embroidery work done in a floral leaf design and black lace trim edging along the bottom hemline skirt. This amazing Art Deco fabric flapper dress has a loose fitting drop waist style, with a V front neckline, sleeveless, with silk button trim down the back and someone has added a side zipper closure at a later date. The dress measures 50 inches long, with a 38 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good as-is condition, but does have a few small fraying splits along the shoulders and a some tiny holes surrounding the gold thread embroidery work designs where it has cut away the silk outlining it. This would be great for design, study or pattern!
