1950s Vintage Xochimilco Canal Gondola Tourist Hand Painted Mexican Circle Skirt
This vintage Xochimilco canal gondola tourist hand painted Mexican circle skirt dates from the 1950s. It is made of a cotton fabric, with a colorful hand painted air brushed silk screen design on a chartreuse green brush stroke background, with a picturesque artistic painting scene of Xochimilco Mexico City canals and a women in a gondola canoe selling flowers. This fabulous full circle skirt has a wrap around style closure with an adjustable inner and outer tie sash. It is signed "Xochimilco" and has a unreadable faded washed out label tag sewn inside. The skirt measures 32 inches long, with an adjustable 24 inch waist and 200 inch bottom skirt circumference. This stunning skirt has wonderful graphic art work and is in good wearable condition. It is a great piece of wearable Mexican textile art!
