This amazing Art Deco vintage steel blue voided velvet silk rosette drop waist flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a unique textured steel blue gray color sheer silk chiffon, voided cut velvet fabric, with an Art Deco abstract floral branch design pattern. There is a peachy pink silk ribbon work rosette trim sewn onto the front top. This fabulous flapper style loose fitting drop waist dress is sleeveless, with a rounded scoop neckline and long side draping skirt panels giving the dress an uneven asymmetrical hemline. It is fully lined with a blue silk slip sewn inside which is weighted at the waist. The dress measures 49 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 40 inch waist and bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a small faint stain on the front top which is covered with the rosette trim. This is a wonderful piece of Art Deco wearable textile art! $450 |
