This antique Victorian era black net jet and steel cut beaded fringe evening cloak cape dates from 1890. It is made of a sheer black net, with black jet and silver steel cut beading down in an elaborate decorative design. There is black beaded fringe strung along the scalloped cut out shape bottom edging. This beautiful beaded elegant evening cloak cape capelet is a short length, with a black velvet trim neckline ribbon tie, open front with no closure and is fully lined in black silk. The cape measures 16 inches long, 16 inches wide across the shoulders and has a 45 inch bottom circumference. It is in good wearable condition, with some loose missing beads and fringe (see close-up). It is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Victoriana beaded art! $200 |
