This vintage Stann of California Modes batwing collar black silk crepe cocktail dress dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black silk crepe fabric, with pleated front gathers down the front. There is a black silk ribbed textured stiffened fabric large batwing sailor style shawl cape collar. This sexy form fitting cocktail party dance dress has a V front neckline, broad shoulder padding, long gathered sleeves and back zipper closure. There is a "Stann of California Modes Los Angeles" label sewn inside and size 12 tag. The dress measures 47 inches long, with 36 inch hips, a 26 inch waist and 36 inch bust.
