This antique Victorian era red and black flannel morning robe vest bodice bed jacket dates from 1880. It is made of a bright red soft brushed nap flannel cotton fabric, with an abstract black ink blot, wave motion pattern striped design. This marvelous morning robe bed jacket is a short mid length, has long full sleeves, a fold over collar, loose fitting open front with a fitted linen lined flannel vest style front panel with button closures and a fitted back with skirted pleated bottom drape. The robe measures 22 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 12 1/2 inch back. It is in good wearable condition, with a small hole on the inside lining and a few faint age spot stains (see close-up). This is a unique piece of wearable abstract art!
