This vintage blue and white batiste embroidered boho peasant dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer fine white cotton batiste fabric, with blue and brown stitched needlework and raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There is blue silk rope corset lacing decorative details on the neckline, sleeves and bottom front skirt, with ball tassel trim tie ends. This pretty peasant style bohemian Hungarian Czech folk dress has rounded scoop necklines, a high empire waist, short sleeves, long full skirt and button back closure. It is sheer and unlined. The dress is a large size measuring 54 inches long, with a 40 inch waist, 42 inch bust and 18 inch back. It is in good wearable condition, with only some missing ball trim off one sleeve. This is a wonderful piece of wearable bohemian peasant textile folk art!
