This vintage carnation flower print silk chiffon bias cut dress and vest jacket dates from the 1930s. It is made of a sheer silk chiffon fabric, with a black background and a colorful carnation flower print done in shades of orange, yellow and bluish green leaves. This beautiful bias cut dress summer gown is a long mid length, with a draping plunging V front neckline, knotted bow tie trim, ruffled short sleeves & bottom skirt hemline. It is sheer and unlined. The dress measures 50 inches long, with 36 inch hips, a 30 inch waist and 34 inch bust. Included is the matching fabric sleeveless vest style short cropped jacket, with ruffled edging and an open front with no closure. The jacket measures 20 inches long, with a 30 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a tiny hole in the sleeve and a small fray on the side hip (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable art!
