Vintage 1920s Flapper Gold Lamé Floral Silk Chiffon Velvet Drop Waist Dress
This vintage gold lamé floral silk chiffon velvet drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer black silk chiffon colorful floral print gold lamé fabric top, with gold metallic threads woven throughout the pattern. The top is lined in a dark red silk slip camisole and there is a black silk velvet fabric skirt. This fabulous flapper drop waist dress is sleeveless, with a rounded scoop neckline, a ruffle flounce trim along the front side top and skirt. The dress measures 43 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 36 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few tiny pin holes in the velvet skirt and some fraying around the black silk trim edging the neckline (see close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art!
