This vintage antique Art Deco black and white silk roses floral embroidered piano shawl dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk fabric background, with white three dimensional raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work done in an Art Deco decorative floral vine leaf pattern design. The embroidered designs vary and are done in only two corners. There are varying shades of black to cream two tone hand knotted macramé silk fringe which measures 18 inches long surrounding the entire shawl. The shawls fabric square measures 58 by 58 inches. This beautiful bohemian Art Deco Spanish Flamenco style shawl is in good wearable condition, with only a faint iron mark near the edging (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable textile art!
