This antique Edwardian Titanic era purple plum silk lace yoke gown dress dates from 1912. It is made of a purple plum color silk striped cotton blend fabric, with a white crochet lace yoke high neck collar and pastel chenille embroidered scalloped trim edging. This gorgeous gown visiting dress has pleated detailing on the front top, tiny beaded trim around the collar, long full sleeves, a fitted waistband, long floor length skirt and hook closures along the front side top. It is lined in the bodice only with a cotton camisole top. The dress measures 52 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 30 inch waist, 40 inch bust, 13 inch back and 21 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with only some slight fading along the shoulders. This is a wonderful piece of wearable Titanic era textile art! $250 |
