This antique black and white floral silk embroidered Canton piano shawl dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk fabric background, with contrasting white silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There is a lush floral foliage vine leaf design, with larger embroidered white roses in each corner. There is a fabulous hand knotted macramé black silk fringe which measures 20 inches long surrounding the entire shawl with rounded corners. The shawls fabric square measures 63 by 63 inches. This quality made Manton Canton Chinese Cantonese style Spanish Flamenco shawl is in good wearable condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable textile art!
