This vintage Taylor Importing Original green lily pad silk chiffon white lace dress dates from the 1940s. It is made of a white background sheer silk chiffon fabric, with a bluish green lily pad leaf print pattern design. There is fine white net chantilly lace trim on the skirt and sleeve cuffs. This gorgeous garden party gown summer dress is a long floor length, with a V front gathered neckline, short sleeves, a fitted waist, long full skirt and side zipper closure. It is fully lined in a white taffeta fabric, with crinoline lining under the skirt for add fullness and a "Taylor Importing Original New York" designer label inside. The dress is a large size measuring 56 inches long, with a 32 inch waist and 42 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a tiny faint age spot stain on the sleeve and a small patched repair under one arm (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
