This vintage Art Deco brown silk red beaded gold lamé embroidered flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a brown silk fabric, with gold metallic thread chain stitch embroidery work, red beaded accents done around the waist, sleeve cuffs and long brown silk fringe tassels hanging down from the skirt sides. This fabulous flapper dress is loose fitting, with a drop waist style, rounded scoop neckline with gold lace trim back collar, long sleeves lined in gold lamé inside the cuffs and snap closures on the shoulder and side. It is lined, with a constructed cotton camisole top sewn inside and hook closures inside. The dress is a large size measuring 53 inches long, with 40 inch hips, waist, bust and 26 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only two tiny pin holes on the top. This is a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco beaded textile art! $350 |
