This vintage Fred Perlberg yellow chiffon strapless formal gown dance dress & cape dates from the 1940s. It is made of a pale pastel yellow lemon chiffon color organdy fabric, with yellow satin trim. This beautiful ballroom dancing dress pretty party prom formal gown is strapless, with a fitted bodice, pleated gathering, a sweetheart neckline, satin cummerbund style swiss waist and a long floor length skirt with crinoline lining for fullness. It is fully lined in a yellow taffeta fabric, with stays boning sewn inside the bodice, a side zipper closure and "Dance Originals by Fred Perlberg" designer label. He was named Man of the Year by the fashion industry and was know for his dance dresses. The dress measures 57 inches long, with a 26 inch waist and 36 inch bust. Included is a matching yellow short cape capelet, with a layered tiered design, satin trim edging and neck tie closure. The cape measures 13 inches long and 56 inches in circumference. It is in good wearable condition. This is truly a quality made ballroom style dance dress!
