This exquisite vintage Edwardian Titanic era white batiste embroidered French knot filet lace dress dates from 1912. It is made of a sheer fine white cotton batiste fabric, with raised padded satin stitch, French knot embroidery work, drawn cut work and valenciennes bobbin lace inserts, done in a decorative floral vine leaf pattern design. This lovely lace dress is a long tea length, with a layered open front sleeveless vest style overlay top, net yoke gathered neckline front insert, large lace shawl collar, 3/4 length sleeves and a ruffle trim back drape panel skirt. It is fully lined in a white cotton net fabric with hook and snap closures. The dress measures 54 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 25 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable lace art!
