This antique Victorian Civil War era girls red & white plaid check wool hoop skirt dress dates from the 1860s. It is made of a fine woven wool fabric, with a red and white plaid pattern check design. This gorgeous girls gown, young miss dress has a high neckline band collar, pleated detailing on the top, long full sleeves, a fitted waistband, long floor length full hoop skirt and button closures down the back. It is fully lined. The dress measures 40 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 22 inch waist, 30 inch bust, 14 inch back and 17 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with several small moth nips and holes (see close-up). This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of Victoriana textile art!
