This vintage yellow batiste pastel smocking embroidered drop waist belted peasant dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer pale yellow cotton batiste fabric, with colorful pastel needlework floral raised padded satin stitch, French knot hand embroidery work, decorative stitched smocking and drawn cut work. This pretty peasant style bohemian Hungarian Czech folk dress has a loose fitting shift style drop waist, with a woven waistband tie sash belt, a V front neckline, shoulder smocking and is sleeveless. The dress measures 45 inches long, with 38 inch hips, waist and bust. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is a wonderful piece of wearable bohemian peasant textile folk art! $350 |
